Job Overview

A premier multi-specialty hospital in Nanded, Maharashtra, is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Urologist. The successful candidate will establish and lead the clinical urology service line, offering comprehensive diagnostic and surgical care to patients from Nanded and surrounding districts. This position demands clinical excellence in managing endourological procedures, laparoscopic surgeries, and open urological interventions, alongside a strong commitment to high-quality patient care and ethical medical practice.

Core Responsibilities

Clinical Consultations: Conduct out-patient departments (OPD) and in-patient rounds to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Surgical Interventions: Perform advanced endourological procedures (including PCNL, URSL, TURP, and RIRS), laparoscopic urology, and reconstructive surgeries. Emergency Management: Manage urological emergencies such as acute urinary retention, renal colic, testicular torsion, and urological trauma. Interdisciplinary Care: Collaborate with nephrologists, oncologists, and general surgeons to provide comprehensive care for complex cases like renal transplants or urological cancers. Equipment & Team Oversight: Oversee the urology OT setup, maintain specialized lithotripsy and laser equipment, and mentor junior medical and nursing staff.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Must possess an M.Ch. (Urology) or DNB (Genito-Urinary Surgery) from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Experience: Open to both fresh postgraduates and experienced consultants. Prior experience in a high-volume tertiary care hospital is highly preferred.Core Competencies: Expertise in laser urology, modern endourology techniques, and basic laparoscopic procedures.

Registration: Valid and active registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
