Join our premier healthcare facility in Jalandhar, Punjab, as an Emergency Medicine Consultant or Medical Officer. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing immediate, life-saving medical care to patients facing acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and critical health crises. You will lead a high-stakes, fast-paced emergency department, ensuring swift triage, accurate diagnosis, and rapid stabilization to maximize positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform rapid triage to assess, prioritize, and treat incoming patients based on clinical urgency. Lead resuscitation efforts for critical cases, including cardiac arrest, severe trauma, shock, and respiratory failure. Execute emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, chest tube placement, and advanced wound management.Coordinate medical plans seamlessly with intensive care units (ICU), trauma teams, and surgical specialists for definitive patient care. Direct the disaster response and mass casualty protocols within the hospital framework when necessary. Supervise emergency staff including junior doctors, nursing teams, and paramedics to maintain high clinical standards.

Requirements

MD, DNB, or Diploma in Emergency Medicine (MEM / FEM) from an NMC-recognized institution; MBBS with extensive ER experience will also be considered. Valid PMC registration (Punjab Medical Council) is mandatory to practice legally in Jalandhar. Advanced certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS are strictly required. Strong crisis control skills, including emotional resilience, rapid decision-making, and clear communication under high stress.
