Location: Kannur, Kerala Department: Community & Public Health Dentistry Position: Senior Lecturer Employment Type: Full-time Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Lecturer in Community & Public Health Dentistry to join our Dental College in Kannur. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate dental students, supporting community-based dental health programs, and contributing to academic and departmental activities. Key Responsibilities Deliver lectures, seminars, demonstrations and practical sessions in Community & Public Health Dentistry. Teach and guide undergraduate BDS students in accordance with the academic curriculum. Supervise students during community dental health programs and field visits. Conduct and participate in dental health camps and outreach activities. Guide students in community dentistry projects, surveys and research activities. Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning and examinations. Maintain student attendance, academic records and departmental documentation. Participate in internal assessments, university examinations and other academic duties. Promote preventive and community-based oral healthcare initiatives. Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary academic and community health programs. Contribute to research, publications, conferences and continuing academic activities. Ensure compliance with applicable dental education and institutional standards. Qualifications BDS with MDS in Community Dentistry / Public Health Dentistry from a recognized institution. Valid registration with the relevant Dental Council. Relevant teaching experience in a dental college will be preferred. Candidates meeting applicable regulatory requirements for the Senior Lecturer position may apply. Skills Strong teaching and presentation skills. Good knowledge of community and preventive dentistry. Ability to mentor and guide BDS students. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Interest in research, public health programs and community outreach activities.
