The role involves undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical supervision, treatment planning, student mentoring, research and departmental academic responsibilities. The Orthodontics department provides training in orthodontic treatment, growth modification and surgical orthodontic treatment. Key Responsibilities Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and clinical teaching. Supervise students in diagnosis, treatment planning and orthodontic procedures. Manage complex orthodontic and dentofacial cases. Provide clinical guidance in fixed, removable and functional orthodontic treatment. Participate in growth modification and multidisciplinary treatment planning. Guide postgraduate students in clinical cases, seminars and academic activities. Participate in examinations, case presentations, journal clubs and departmental meetings. Contribute to research, publications and continuing academic activities. Maintain accurate clinical and academic records. Work closely with the Professor/HOD and other faculty members. Ensure compliance with institutional, academic and patient-care standards. Eligibility BDS with MDS in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics from a recognized institution. Valid registration with the State Dental Council. Candidates meeting applicable Dental Council/National Dental Commission faculty eligibility requirements will be preferred. Relevant teaching and clinical experience in a dental college required. Research publications and postgraduate teaching experience will be an advantage. Experience Minimum 3 years of teaching experience after MDS is a reasonable recruitment requirement for the Reader position, subject to the applicable regulatory faculty norms. Salary ₹80,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month, negotiable based on qualification, teaching experience, publications and clinical expertise.
