About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent Consultant Radiologist (Radio-Diagnosis) to lead our imaging department at our multi-specialty hospital in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. This hospital-based clinical position requires managing high-volume acute diagnostic imaging, supporting emergency/trauma interventions, and delivering precise medical reports. Key Roles & Responsibilities Ultrasound & Doppler: Perform clinical examinations and interpret abdominal, pelvic, transvaginal, musculoskeletal, anomaly, and advanced color Doppler scans. Cross-Sectional Reporting: Independently report high-resolution CT scans and multi-channel MRI imaging scans for routine and emergency trauma cases. Conventional Radiology: Oversee digital X-rays, mammography interpretation, and special fluoroscopic contrast procedures (e.g., IVP, Barium studies). Interdepartmental Synergy: Coordinate closely with critical care, general surgery, and orthopedic teams to expedite critical findings and support ICU clinical interventions. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure absolute adherence to PCPNDT directives, AERB radiation safety guidelines, and local state medical protocols. Eligibility & Qualifications Education: Mandatorily hold an MD in Radiology, DNB in Radio-Diagnosis, or DMRD from an NMC-recognized medical college. Registration: Must possess an active registration with the Uttarakhand Medical Council (UKMC) or the National Medical Commission (NMC). Experience: Open to applicants with 0 to 5 years of post-qualification hospital clinical experience (freshers looking to establish their practice are welcome)

In this critical clinical role, you will lead the diagnostic imaging department, providing highly accurate and timely interpretations across a broad spectrum of modalities. You will collaborate closely with various clinical specialties—including oncology, orthopedics, and emergency medicine—to guide patient treatment plans and ensure the highest standards of diagnostic precision. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to utilize advanced imaging technologies in a high-volume clinical environment while contributing to healthcare excellence in a major regional hub. Key Responsibilities Interpret and report complex diagnostic scans across multiple modalities, including Multi-slice CT, High-field MRI, Ultrasound, Color Doppler, and Digital X-Rays. Perform specialized ultrasound examinations, including anomaly scans, antenatal Doppler, musculoskeletal scans, and small-part imaging.Execute image-guided interventional procedures safely, such as ultrasound or CT-guided biopsies, FNACs, fluid aspirations, and drainage placements.Provide immediate, emergency teleradiology and on-site interpretations for critical trauma, acute stroke, and emergency department admissions. Consult with referring physicians and consultants to discuss challenging diagnostic findings and recommend appropriate subsequent imaging paths. Supervise and mentor radiology technicians, ensuring strict adherence to radiation safety, ALARA principles, and AERB compliance protocols. Requirements MD, DNB, or DMRD in Radio-Diagnosis from a National Medical Commission (NMC) recognized medical college or university. Minimum of 1 to 5+ years of post-qualification experience working as a practicing radiologist in a busy hospital or diagnostic center. Valid UKMC registration (Uttarakhand Medical Council) is mandatory to practice legally within the state.Strong proficiency in managing advanced high-slice imaging equipment, paired with exceptional analytical thinking and high-pressure decision-making skills.
