The selected candidate will be involved in clinical rheumatology services, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, patient care, academic activities and research. Key Responsibilities Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Rheumatology and General Medicine. Deliver lectures, tutorials, clinical demonstrations and case discussions. Diagnose and manage patients with rheumatological and autoimmune disorders. Conduct outpatient rheumatology consultations and inpatient care. Manage conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, gout and other inflammatory arthritis. Evaluate patients with connective tissue diseases, vasculitis and musculoskeletal disorders. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions with Medicine, Orthopaedics, Dermatology and other departments. Supervise and guide Junior Residents, interns and medical students. Participate in clinical rounds, seminars, journal clubs and academic meetings. Assist postgraduate students with research projects, dissertations and case presentations. Contribute to clinical research, publications and academic conferences. Maintain accurate clinical records and follow hospital protocols. Participate in university examinations and internal assessments as required. Ensure compliance with NMC guidelines, patient-safety standards and medical ethics. Eligibility for Assistant Professor – Rheumatology MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine and appropriate postgraduate/super-specialty qualification or training in Rheumatology, as applicable. Candidates with DM/DNB/DrNB Rheumatology will be preferred. Qualification must be from an NMC-recognized institution. Valid registration with the NMC/State Medical Council. Candidates should fulfil the applicable NMC eligibility requirements for the faculty position. Teaching, clinical and research experience will be an advantage. Experience As per applicable NMC norms for Assistant Professor. Freshly qualified eligible candidates with strong clinical and academic interest may also be considered.
