Position: Consultant Neurologist Hospital: NIMS Hospital Location: Wandoor, Malappuram, Kerala Employment Type: Full Time Job Description NIMS Hospital, Wandoor, Malappuram, is looking for a qualified and experienced Neurologist to join its medical team. The Neurologist will be responsible for diagnosing and managing patients with disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles. NIMS Hospital has a dedicated Neurology & Movement Disorders department offering services including stroke and neuro-critical care, epilepsy management, movement-disorder care, and EMG/NCV diagnostics. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive neurological consultations and patient assessments. Diagnose and manage neurological disorders. Evaluate and manage stroke, epilepsy, seizures, headaches, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions. Manage acute neurological and emergency cases. Interpret neurological investigations and diagnostic reports. Perform or interpret EEG, EMG/NCV, and relevant neuro-imaging as appropriate. Develop individualized treatment plans. Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress. Coordinate with neurosurgeons, physicians, radiologists, intensivists, and other specialists. Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation. Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. Qualifications & Requirements MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine or equivalent qualification. DM/DNB in Neurology or equivalent recognized qualification. Valid medical registration. Relevant experience in Neurology preferred. Good clinical and diagnostic skills. Strong communication and patient-management skills. Ability to manage neurological emergencies and inpatient cases.
