Location ;Vadakara Job Description provides advanced, intensive medical care to new born infants. They primarily work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), managing premature babies, critically ill infants, and new born with congenital or life-threatening health conditions. Core Responsibilities Clinical Management: Assess, diagnose, and treat new born with breathing disorders, infections, birth defects, and low birth weights in the NICU. Life-Saving Interventions: Provide critical procedures such as ventilation, heart-lung bypass, medication administration, and specialized nutritional support. Delivery Room Presence: Assist at high-risk deliveries or C sections to stabilize infants immediately after birth if complications are anticipated. Family Counselling: Communicate diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment plans clearly while offering emotional support to parents during highly stressful times. Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate closely with obstetricians, paediatricians, paediatric surgeons, nurses, and respiratory therapists. Key Requirements Education: A medical degree followed by a paediatric residency and sub-specialty fellowship training in neonatology. Certification: Board certification (or eligibility) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Skills: High clinical precision, rapid emergency decision-making, proficiency in neonatal resuscitation, and strong emotional resilience.
