About the role
Leo Hospital, Wayanad, Kerala is looking for an experienced and dedicated Cardiologist to join its medical team. The position is suitable for a qualified specialist who can provide comprehensive cardiac care, evaluate patients with cardiovascular conditions, and manage both routine and complex cardiac cases.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose patients with cardiovascular diseases and related conditions.
Conduct and interpret cardiac investigations such as ECG, Echocardiography, and TMT, as applicable.
Manage patients with conditions including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiac disorders.
Provide appropriate medical treatment and develop individualized cardiac care plans.
Attend to cardiac emergencies and provide timely clinical management.
Perform or assist with cardiac procedures according to qualifications and hospital facilities.
Coordinate with physicians, emergency teams, ICU staff, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, lifestyle modification, and follow-up care.
Candidate Requirements
Qualification: MD/DNB/DM/DNB Cardiology or equivalent recognized qualification, as applicable.
Experience: Experienced candidates are preferred; relevant experience in a hospital setting will be an advantage.
Valid Kerala Medical Council/NMC registration or applicable registration.
Good clinical judgment and communication skills.
Ability to manage outpatient, inpatient, and emergency cardiac cases.
Candidates with experience in non-invasive cardiology, cardiac emergencies, and critical care may be preferred.
