Job Description
Thangamani Co-operative Hospital, Kattappana, Idukki, is looking for a qualified and experienced Ophthalmologist to join its medical team. The role involves comprehensive eye care, diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic conditions, routine procedures and surgical management as per expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive ophthalmic consultation and patient care.
Perform detailed eye examinations and diagnose various eye disorders.
Manage cataract, glaucoma, corneal, retinal and other common ophthalmic conditions.
Perform routine ophthalmic procedures and surgeries according to expertise.
Evaluate patients for cataract surgery and provide pre- and post-operative care.
Manage ophthalmic emergencies and provide timely treatment.
Perform refraction and assess visual acuity where required.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
Counsel patients regarding treatment options, surgery and follow-up care.
Coordinate with other specialists and hospital departments when required.
Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical care and professional ethics.
Eligibility
MBBS with MS/DNB/DO in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council.
Relevant clinical experience in ophthalmology preferred.
Candidates with surgical exposure, particularly cataract surgery, will be preferred.
