About the role
Fathima Matha Hospital, Kalpetta, Wayanad, Kerala, is looking for a qualified and compassionate Pediatrician to join its medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of childhood illnesses.
Job Responsibilities
Examine and diagnose infants, children, and adolescents with various medical conditions.
Provide treatment for common childhood illnesses, infections, and other pediatric conditions.
Monitor children's growth, development, nutrition, and overall health.
Provide newborn care and assess neonatal health, according to the hospital's facilities and clinical requirements.
Manage pediatric emergencies and provide appropriate initial stabilization.
Prescribe medications and develop suitable treatment plans based on each child's condition.
Advise parents on nutrition, immunization, preventive healthcare, and child development.
Coordinate with other medical specialists, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
Schedule follow-up visits and monitor patients' recovery and developmental progress.
Candidate Requirements
Qualification: MD/DNB in Pediatrics or DCH, as applicable to the position.
Registration: Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
Experience: Relevant experience in pediatrics is preferred.
Good clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and patient-counselling abilities.
Compassionate approach to treating children and communicating with parents.
Ability to manage outpatient consultations, inpatient care, and pediatric emergencies.
