Job Overview
As a Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for planning and administering anesthesia for a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures while ensuring optimal patient safety before, during, and after surgery. The role requires expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, perioperative cardiac care, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and management of critically ill cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluation for cardiac surgery patients.
Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on the patient's clinical condition.
Administer anesthesia for adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries.
Monitor and manage hemodynamic parameters throughout surgical procedures.
Utilize advanced monitoring techniques, including invasive monitoring and TEE, where applicable.
Manage cardiopulmonary bypass-related anesthesia care in coordination with perfusionists.
Provide perioperative pain management and postoperative critical care support.
Handle emergency cardiac surgeries with prompt clinical decision-making.
Work closely with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, and ICU teams.
Maintain accurate anesthesia records and clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control protocols, and patient safety guidelines.
Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education programs.
Mentor junior doctors, residents, and anesthesia technicians when required.
Eligibility Criteria
MBBS from a recognized medical college.
MD/DNB in Anesthesiology.
Fellowship, FNB, or DM in Cardiac Anesthesia/Cardiac Anesthesiology is preferred.
Valid NMC or State Medical Council Registration.
Experience
Freshers with specialized cardiac anesthesia training are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with 1–10 years of experience in cardiac anesthesia will be given preference.
Experience in tertiary care hospitals or dedicated cardiac centers is an added advantage.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of cardiac anesthesia techniques.
Expertise in invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
Experience with cardiopulmonary bypass management.
Knowledge of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is desirable.
