Job Description
Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is looking for a qualified and experienced Professor of Community Medicine to join its medical teaching faculty.
The position involves academic leadership, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, community-based medical education, research, student mentoring and departmental administration.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Community Medicine.
Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions and field-based teaching.
Guide students in community health programmes and field visits.
Supervise postgraduate students in research, dissertations and academic activities.
Participate in epidemiological studies, community surveys and public health research.
Guide students in biostatistics, epidemiology, health programmes and preventive medicine.
Participate in seminars, journal clubs, case discussions and academic meetings.
Lead research projects and contribute to publications and scientific presentations.
Mentor junior faculty, Assistant Professors and Senior Residents.
Participate in university examinations, assessments and curriculum development.
Coordinate community-based medical education and outreach activities.
Ensure compliance with NMC guidelines and institutional academic standards.
Eligibility
MBBS with MD/DNB in Community Medicine from an NMC-recognized institution.
Valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council.
Candidates must meet the applicable NMC faculty eligibility requirements for Professor.
Relevant teaching experience in an NMC-recognized medical college is required.
Research publications and postgraduate teaching experience will be preferred.

As per applicable NMC norms for Professor – Community Medicine.
Salary
₹2,00,000 – ₹3,00,000 per month
Salary is negotiable based on qualification, teaching experience, research publications and academic profile.
