Associate Professor – Orthopaedics Job Description
Chennai Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Trichy, is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Associate Professors in Orthopaedics to join its medical college and teaching hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Orthopaedic faculty looking for Associate Professor jobs in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The selected candidate will be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical patient care, orthopaedic surgical training, resident supervision, research and academic activities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct undergraduate MBBS and postgraduate teaching in Orthopaedics.
Deliver lectures, tutorials, clinical demonstrations, seminars and case discussions.
Provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Supervise OPD, inpatient, emergency and orthopaedic services.
Perform and supervise orthopaedic procedures and surgeries according to expertise.
Manage fractures, trauma, dislocations and orthopaedic emergencies.
Supervise pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
Train and supervise postgraduate residents during clinical and surgical postings.
Guide postgraduate students in dissertations, research and academic activities.
Supervise Senior Residents, Junior Residents and interns.
Participate in ward rounds, seminars, journal clubs and multidisciplinary meetings.
Contribute to clinical research, publications and academic conferences.
Participate in university examinations, internal assessments and departmental activities.
Mentor junior faculty and contribute to departmental academic development.
Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with NMC guidelines, hospital protocols and patient-safety standards.
Eligibility for Associate Professor – Orthopaedics
MBBS + MS/DNB in Orthopaedics from an NMC-recognized medical institution.
Valid registration with the NMC/State Medical Council.
Candidates should fulfil the applicable NMC eligibility criteria for Associate Professor.
Relevant teaching experience in an NMC-recognized medical college is required.
Candidates with postgraduate teaching, surgical experience, research publications and academic achievements will be preferred.
Experience
As per applicable NMC norms for Associate Professor – Orthopaedics.
Candidates with strong experience in medical college teaching, postgraduate training, orthopaedic surgery and academic activities will be preferred.
Salary
₹1,50,000 – ₹2,25,000 per month
Salary is negotiable based on qualification, teaching experience, surgical expertise, publications and overall academic profile.
