Job Title: Senior Resident – General Medicine Department: General Medicine Institution: Chennai Medical College Hospital & Research Centre / Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre Location: Irungalur, Trichy, Tamil Nadu – 621105 Job Description Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is looking for a qualified and dedicated Senior Resident in General Medicine to join its teaching hospital and clinical team. The position involves providing comprehensive patient care, assisting consultants, managing inpatient and emergency cases, participating in clinical teaching and supporting departmental academic activities. Key Responsibilities Manage General Medicine patients in OPD, wards and emergency services. Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning. Participate in daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress. Attend medical emergencies and critically ill patients. Assist consultants in managing complex medical cases. Supervise and guide Junior Residents and interns. Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching. Conduct case presentations, seminars and clinical discussions. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. Participate in departmental audits, research and academic activities. Coordinate with other departments for multidisciplinary patient care. Follow hospital protocols, NMC guidelines and patient-safety standards. Eligibility MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine from an NMC-recognized institution. Valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council. Candidates with teaching-hospital experience will be preferred. Fresh MD/DNB candidates may also be considered. Experience 0–3 years of post-PG clinical/teaching experience preferred. Salary ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,30,000 per month Salary may be negotiated based on qualification, experience and academic profile.
