Associate Professor – Obstetrics & Gynaecology Job Description
Chennai Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Trichy, is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Associate Professors in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join its medical college and teaching hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OBG Associate Professor looking for medical college faculty jobs in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The selected candidate will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, clinical patient care, academic mentoring and departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct undergraduate MBBS and postgraduate teaching in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Deliver lectures, tutorials, clinical demonstrations and case discussions.
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to patients.
Manage routine and high-risk pregnancies.
Supervise antenatal, labour-room, postnatal and emergency services.
Diagnose and manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies.
Perform and supervise gynaecological procedures and surgeries according to expertise.
Guide postgraduate students in clinical training, dissertations and research.
Supervise Senior Residents, Junior Residents, interns and medical students.
Participate in seminars, journal clubs, case presentations and departmental meetings.
Contribute to medical research, publications and academic conferences.
Participate in university examinations, internal assessments and other academic activities.
Mentor junior faculty and support the development of the department.
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and follow hospital protocols.
Ensure compliance with NMC guidelines and medical education standards.
Eligibility for Associate Professor – Obstetrics & Gynaecology
MBBS + MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from an NMC-recognized medical institution.
Valid registration with the NMC/State Medical Council.
Candidates should fulfil the applicable NMC eligibility criteria for Associate Professor.
Teaching experience in an NMC-recognized medical college is preferred/required as applicable.
Candidates with postgraduate teaching, research publications and operative experience will be preferred.
Experience
As per applicable NMC norms for Associate Professor – Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Candidates with strong experience in medical college teaching, postgraduate training, obstetric management and gynaecological surgery will be preferred.
Salary
₹1,50,000 – ₹2,25,000 per month
Salary is negotiable based on qualification, teaching experience, academic publications, clinical expertise and surgical skills.
