This is an excellent opportunity for experienced General Surgery faculty looking for Associate Professor jobs in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The selected candidate will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, surgical patient care, resident supervision, academic mentoring and research activities. Key Responsibilities Conduct undergraduate MBBS and postgraduate teaching in General Surgery. Deliver lectures, tutorials, clinical demonstrations and surgical case discussions. Provide comprehensive surgical evaluation and patient management. Supervise OPD, inpatient, emergency and surgical services. Perform and supervise general surgical procedures according to expertise. Manage surgical emergencies and critically ill surgical patients. Supervise pre-operative and post-operative patient care. Guide postgraduate students in clinical training, dissertations and research. Supervise Senior Residents, Junior Residents, interns and medical students. Participate in ward rounds, seminars, journal clubs and multidisciplinary meetings. Contribute to clinical research, publications and academic conferences. Participate in university examinations, internal assessments and other academic activities. Mentor junior faculty and contribute to departmental academic development. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure adherence to hospital protocols. Follow NMC guidelines, patient-safety standards and medical ethics. Eligibility for Associate Professor – General Surgery MBBS + MS/DNB in General Surgery from an NMC-recognized medical institution. Valid registration with the NMC/State Medical Council. Candidates should fulfil the applicable NMC eligibility criteria for Associate Professor. Relevant teaching experience in an NMC-recognized medical college is preferred/required as applicable. Candidates with postgraduate teaching, research publications and operative experience will be preferred. Experience As per applicable NMC norms for Associate Professor – General Surgery. Candidates with strong experience in medical college teaching, postgraduate training, surgical procedures and academic activities will be preferred. Salary ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,25,000 per month Salary is negotiable based on qualification, teaching experience, academic publications, surgical expertise and overall professional profile. Why Apply?
