Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Rheumatologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders. The consultant will provide comprehensive patient care through outpatient consultations, inpatient services, and collaborative treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, vasculitis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoporosis, and other autoimmune disorders.
Conduct detailed patient evaluations, physical examinations, and review medical histories.
Order and interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and specialized diagnostic tests.
Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
Prescribe medications including DMARDs, biologics, immunosuppressants, and supportive therapies.
Perform joint injections, aspirations, and other rheumatology-related procedures when required.
Provide inpatient consultations and collaborate with other medical specialties.
Educate patients and families regarding disease management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement programs, and continuing medical education activities.
Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and evidence-based clinical practices.
Qualifications
MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine.
DM/DNB/Fellowship in Rheumatology.
Valid Medical Council Registration.
Minimum 1โ3 years of experience preferred.
Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Skills Required
Expertise in autoimmune and connective tissue disorders.
Knowledge of biologic therapies and immunomodulatory treatments.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
